As a small business owner herself, Donna understands the issues many of her clients deal with. She knows the angst and decision processes they go through. That's one of the reasons she is such a great resource. The instant rapport she builds, owner-to-owner, allows her to help her clients through their challenges.

Donna's technical expertise lies in tax compliance and planning for partnerships and limited liability corporations (LLCs). She conducts year-end reviews of her clients' tax situations to identify opportunities to reduce tax liabilities, taking into account both business and personal tax planning goals. She also focuses on transaction planning, 1031 exchanges and state and local tax planning. Many of her clients are in the real estate, manufacturing and service industries.

Sandra worked for Oak Associates for 21 years as chief compliance officer. Graduating from Akron University in 1990 with an accounting degree and is a CPA. She started investing in real estate in 2000 and opened SJL Management Group in December 2014 when her real estate investing flourished. SJL Management Group owns and manages office buildings, retail and warehouses. Employing six dedicated staff members who manage and maintain the properties, SJL keeps great relationships with its tenants.

Julie Brandle is the President and a Founder of Metis Construction Services, a female-owned commercial general contractor located in Kent, Ohio focusing on interior renovations, ground-up construction and facilities maintenance throughout Northeast Ohio. With over 20 years experience in sales, marketing, and public relations, Julie oversees these areas of expertise for Metis along with being an integral part of the ownership team that designs and manages the overall business strategy for Metis.

Julie volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, where she is a recipient of the 2015 Women of Distinction Award. She serves on the leadership boards of CREW-Commercial Real Estate Women, Rebuilding Together - Portage County, Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and Greater Akron Chamber Small Business Council, Streetsboro Chamber, Kent State University Construction Management Department Advisory Board, Portage Development Board, and Rotary Club of Akron where she is currently serving as President. She is a 2014 graduate of both Leadership Portage and the Goldman Sachs 10k small business program. Julie and her husband Steven reside in Brimfield Twp. Their daughter Kimberly is a freshman at Bowling Green State University.

Pamela has spent the majority of her career which began in 1988 in the commercial segment of the real estate title insurance industry. Her responsibilities include working with multiple business partners to assist with the completion of real estate title transactions and to increase business opportunities for the company. It is her sincere pleasure to work with First American's exceptional leadership team and staff and to deliver those high service standards to the customers served.

Pamela is an Emeritus Trustee of Greenleaf Family Center (2005, 2006 Chair of the Annual Auction honoring recipients of the Betty J. Membership Committee


The membership committee works to identify and recruit new members. The chairperson coordinates the application process and verifies qualifications and submits qualified members for vote by the Executive Committee for membership.

The committee works to retain members and works to follow up on membership renewals each year with CREW National. The committee works with the Program Committee to organize New Member Events and other events for recruiting new members.

Sarah B. Gregg, PE, is a Senior Project Manager with Partners with over 13 years of experience in environmental consulting. As the lead Engineer at Partners, Ms. Gregg focuses on due diligence and environmental, health and safety compliance projects, including but not limited to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Tier II reporting, storm water permitting and SWPPPs, SPCC Plans, Emergency action plans, job hazard analyses, and EH&S auditing.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and is professionally licensed in the States of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.


Louise is a member of the Business Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Practice Group, the Health Care Practice Group and the Litigation Practice Group. She represents small corporations, business owners and creditors in matters related to business and commercial law, as well as construction law and litigation. Louise is a former deputy law director and prosecuting attorney for the City of Cuyahoga Falls.

Sponsorship Committee


The Sponsorship Committee shall work to secure Annual and Event Sponsors for each year. The chair person works with the Treasurer to invoice sponsors and confirm receipt. The committee works with the Programs Committee to make sure valued sponsors receive the recognition of sponsorship and the free tickets to events.

The committee shall work to identify new sponsors and expand the opportunities for sponsorship. These efforts support the activities of the organization not covered by dues and event charges.

Ms. Wallerstein focuses her practice on real estate law, including conveyancing, financial services, loan documentation, and condominium and association law. She also practices corporate and business law.

Lori is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, accounting, marketing, clerical and management support duties necessary for the organization to run efficiently and be promoted in an effective and professional manner. She is also responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and assists with and directs marketing outreach activities for Development Finance Authority of Summit County and the Development Fund of the Western Reserve through oversight of the website, electronic newsletters, press releases and marketing materials.

Furthering her education, Lori attended ITT Technical institute and Youngstown State University. Her extensive background includes experience in human resources, office management and technology, records management, compliance and customer service.

Lori resides in Portage County and is a Board member of the Northeast Ohio Trail Riders Association. She enjoys reading, horseback riding, camping and hiking.

Programs and Professional Development Committee


The Programs Committee shall work to provide various professional development events and networking events; both members only and open events for recruiting purposes. Subcommittees may be formed to coordinate some of the signature events; Bus Tour, Book Club, Insiders Tours and Annual Forum.

The Committee shall work to provide relevant and frequent opportunities for members to network and expand their skills and knowledge through professional development on current topics affecting the industry. Some events will be open to non-members, but other events will be members only events to benefit the overall membership (Insiders Tours) on relevant local commercial opportunities.

  • Bus Tour - highlights recent, significant real estate projects in the local area. The tour provides insight into the development of projects and facilities not generally available for public visits. Members get priority on reservations and reduced rates.
  • Book Club - a members only event which allows the discussion and conversation around relevant reading topics.
  • Insiders Tours - a quarterly event open to members only typically an hour in the early morning or late afternoon providing a special opportunity to get an insider's view of special projects in the area often hosted by the developer.
  • Annual Forum - a signature event held each fall. A half date event offering CE (continuing education) for brokers, accountants and attorneys providing information and professional development on current industry relevant topics.


Office Furnishings has been my 20+ year career. Working in the Interior Design field has given me many opportunities with supplying clients with solutions to their environments. From space planning, inventory assessments, budgets and proposals, project management and ergonomic training, I provide our clients with new technologies that effect the way people work today. My expertise is to listen to the customer's needs and offer professional advice to complete an office or a total building. Service is my specialty.

Patty Dill has worked with companies throughout Northeast Ohio as well as USA locations. She enjoys traveling, entertaining, reading and crafts. She has one Son, whom she is very proud of.

Suzanne (Suzie) Rinehart is currently a Sr. Commercial Lender with Farmers National Bank of Canfield, based in their Fairlawn loan production office. She focuses her efforts on small business, middle market, investment real estate and commercial real estate transactions. She has 16 years of commercial credit experience and 10 years of consumer credit experience along with 24 years management experience. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets preferably on a beach somewhere. She has been a member of the Akron CREW organization since June 2015.

Communications Committee


The Communications Committee of CREW Greater Akron is designed to promote and communicate the value of CREW membership to current and prospective members, as well as the value of the organization and its members to the community through our website and media initiatives.

Zada Lines joined CBRE's Akron office in September 2014 as an Associate in CBRE's Office Specialty Brokerage Group. Her competitive spirit and commitment to a strong work ethic makes her a valuable addition to CBRE. She works collaboratively with Susan Lines and Gary Rickel and focuses primarily on office and investment properties. Zada was recognized as the 2015 CBRE Rookie of the Year in the Cleveland/Akron market. In addition to CREW, Zada participates on the Summit Choral Society Board and has been an active member in Torchbearers since 2016.









Tara received her Finance & Economic degree from Bethany College. Tara has been in the Banking industry for 19 years. Working in all aspects of commercial lending within Summit, Stark, Medina, and Cuyahoga counties, previously with two large regional Banks and moved to S&T Bank in May 2015. She specializes in commercial & industrial and real estate lending.

Bus Tour Committee


CREW Greater Akron hosts an annual bus tour that highlights recent, significant real estate projects in the local community. The tour provides insight into the development of the projects and affords participants an opportunity to tour facilities not generally available for public visits. The bus tour is open to members and non-members and has had a significant increase in participation over the past several years.

Libby is a partner at Brouse McDowell, LPA practicing corporate, commercial and real estate law. Libby's practice is focused on transactional work, principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, finance and commercial transactions and agreements. Libby is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated through Martindale-Hubbell.

Libby is also co-manager for a residential real estate property company that manages rental properties and rehabs foreclosed properties.



Kimberly Beckett works closely with downtown stakeholders through business and property owner retention surveys and one-on-one interviews. Also, she is developing and implementing a retail recruitment program. She assists businesses in troubleshooting problems with local government as well as supporting economic development activities. Additionally, she contributes to all marketing and promotion events throughout the year. Kimberly received her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her masters in public administration at the University of Akron.

Holiday Luncheon Committee


CREW Greater Akron hosts an annual holiday luncheon each year, with net proceeds going to benefit a local non-profit agency. The event provides an opportunity for all to enjoy professional networking and fulfill philanthropic interests during the holiday season. Committee members work to select the organization receiving the proceeds as well as plan the event.

Denise Armstrong is the Regional Director - Property Manager for the McKinley Commercial Owned portfolio. Denise manages 708,819 square feet of first class office space in downtown Akron, Ohio including the FirstEnergy/Akron Centre and 222 S. Main buildings. Denise has also managed over 2,000,000 square feet of shopping center space. Denise currently is the Treasurer of the Special Improvement District for the City of Akron and is a member of Downtown Akron Partnership, BOMA and CREW. Denise has taken management, leasing and marketing classes through the International Council of Shopping Center and is a Notary Public.

Denise also volunteers for various non-profit agencies including the United Way.

Amy Palmer joined SJL Management Group in Nov. 2014 as Facilities Manager. SJL thrives in Commercial real estate investing and property management. Amy's 20 years of human resource management experience involving performance management, recruiting, compliance reporting, training and dedicated client/employee relations and satisfaction has been a great asset.
